The White Hart is an eighteenth century Ironbridge beer house that has been given a sensitive make over to create a relaxed café bar by day and modern British bistro restaurant and bar by night. The pub has a gorgeous gallery restaurant which opens Monday to Saturday evenings and private dining and parties are catered for too.
It’s a privately owned free house operated by Ironbridge veteran restaurateur Alex Nicoll. The White Hart is open every day for lunch and dinner, with coffee and light snacks from 11am.
The White Hart kitchen team is led by local chef Katie Bradley who really cares about flavour and balance, everything they do from a simple sandwich to slow roast pork belly is carefully prepared and beautifully presented.

D’arcys at the station

In historic Ironbridge, D’arcys is Mediterranean inspired restaurant and lounge, serving freshly cooked no nonsense, bistro food in a relaxed setting steeped with history.
D’arcys is in the old station which is a lovely historic listed building right at the end of the iron bridge.
Their menu uses fresh ingredients from local suppliers, sourced from local producers and exotic European markets.
D’arcys is open 6pm onwards from Tuesday to Saturday. Due to the intimate nature of the restaurant they cannot cater for large groups, children over the age of 10 are welcome.

Pondicherry, Ironbridge is a modern Indian restaurant located within the idyllic Severn gorge, just a stonesthrow away from the Ironbridge itself. The setting is one of the first Police Station’s in the UK, still retaining many of the original features. Have a drink and get comfortable in one of their lounges whilst you view the carefully prepared menu, before taking a stroll upstairs into the dining area – the converted court room, where the atmosphere really is something of an experience. Pondicherry only use locally sourced fresh produce and all meals are prepared and cooked to order.

The Horse and Jockey is a traditional free house, over 200 years old, with many original features, located on Jockey Bank just on the way into Ironbridge Gorge.
The small bar area is ideal for a cosy drink, whilst the rest of the pub is mainly used for dining. The restaurant has an extensive menu which includes traditional steaks and grills, many home-made specials including their famous pies which are varied weekly.
They also have a separate vegetarian menu with at least four choices (all home-made).
